Montpellier Walk Cheltenham
Grimshaws are just about to start working on repairs in Montpellier Walk, Cheltenham.
The properties in this unique shopping area are separated by 32 caryatids (figures based on the classical models on the Erechtheion in Athens).
Two date from 1840, made by the original London sculptor Rossi and the remainder were created by a local man from Tivoli Street.
I hasten to add we are not touching the caryatids, just the paving and road surface!
